Pierhouse has sold a series of pricey condos in the past few months
A Pierhouse condo has just set the record for the most expensive condo ever sold in Brooklyn. The sale closed last week for $10.669 million, property records reveal. The apartment handily surpassed the record set by a One John Street penthouse back in the fall of 2015 when it closed for $8.89 million.
The controversial development overlooking Brooklyn Bridge Park has in fact sold a series of pricey condos in the past few months. In January, a $7.6 million sale at the condo was the most expensive sale in Brooklyn for that month, according to The Real Deal. A $4.3 million sale at the building in the same month also made it to the list of the top five most expensive homes sold in the borough last month.
Prior to that, a three-bedroom, and a four-bedroom condo at Pierhouse sold for upwards of $7 million in December and November last year respectively, so the condo really seems to be on a roll of late.
Currently, 10 of the building's 106 condos are on the market, as per StreetEasy. Prices range from $3.4 million for a three-bedroom and go up to $10.49 million for a five-bedroom. A three-bedroom asking $11.179 is currently in contract at Pierhouse, so potentially this record-setting sale could be broken by another Pierhouse condo in the coming months.

We reached out to Toll Brothers to clarify the size and specifications of the apartment, but they declined to comment.
In other Pierhouse-related news, the eco-luxe hotel that's part of the overall development, 1 Hotel, also recently welcomed its first guests.
