To celebrate Curbed's first Transportation Week, today we're looking at apartments that are close to subway stations and are renting for less than $3,000/month.

The unit is newly renovated and comes with perks like a washer/dryer, new stainless steel appliances, sleek wood floors, and a subway-tiled bathroom.

↑ On the Upper East Side, this two-bedroom, two-bathroom rental, asking $2,700, has a spacious living room with a fireplace and a private outdoor deck. It's located right off of Third Avenue, and is only 3 blocks from the 6 line's 77th Street station and about four blocks from the Second Avenue subway's 72nd Street stop.

↑ For $2,875/month, there's this bright studio, located three blocks away from the 6 line's Park Avenue South station in Gramercy. The light-filled space comes with high ceilings, hardwood floors, and a sizable kitchen. There are two large closets that provide a decent amount of storage space.

↑ Depending where you live on the Upper West Side, the nearest train station can be a hike; this one-bedroom on 84th Street, however, is only three blocks from the 86th Street station on the 1. Among its features are high ceilings, hardwood floors, large windows, and a furnished kitchen with custom cabinetry. It's asking $2,895/month.

↑ Last but not least, another studio (or one-bedroom, depending on what part of the listing you believe) is up for grabs, this one on Union Street in Crown Heights. It's an open space with a modern kitchen, recessed lighting, several large windows, and a brand new bathroom. It'll run you $2,550/month and is one block away from the 2, 3, 4, and 5 trains on Franklin Avenue.
