Herzog & de Meuron's West Village condo gets its undulating shape

The 15-story condo has now reached the 12th floor

It's been a little over a year now since sales officially launched at Herzog & de Meuron's glass-encased condo overlooking the Hudson River, and now construction site photos by Field Condition reveal that the pricey condo has nearly topped.

When we checked in with the building in early December last year, the 15-story condo had reached the halfway point, and now it seems just a little over two months later the condo is just three floors from topping out.

One of the most anticipated developments in the city, the Ian Schrager-developed building was halfway sold just two weeks after sales got underway in November 2015. In January this year, news emerged that just nine of the building's 57 condos were still on the market—that number has gone down further now with just seven available units.

Prices on those available condos range from $3.1 million for a one-bedroom, one-bathroom unit and go up to $48.5 million for one of the building's penthouses, according to StreetEasy. That penthouse was originally part of a larger $80 million unit that was chopped up in two after buyers balked at the sum.

Construction on the condo got underway last summer, and is likely to wrap up sometime by the end of this year.
