In Riverdale, quirky midcentury home inspired by Frank Lloyd Wright asks $1.75M

But it could probably use an interior renovation

You don't see houses like this every day: a midcentury wooden home, inspired—per the listing—by the architecture of Frank Lloyd Wright, set amid the rolling hills of Riverdale. (It was allegedly designed by a "renowned architect," but alas, research did not dig up who this person is.) The four-bedroom house, spanning 3,400 square feet, is on the market for $1.75 million.

The modern exterior doesn't quite match the quirky interiors, however—although a lot of wood has been used in both, with many of the rooms covered in various types of wooden paneling. It gives the place an oddly rustic sort of feel, though the renovated kitchen, kitted out with white cabinets, doesn't quite match the rest of the place.

But look past that and you'll find lots to like about the place: There are tons of large windows, which let plenty of light in and overlook the natural setting, and it's set on a large lot with plenty of foliage.

With the right renovation—something that continues the midcentury modern theme indoors—this could really be something special.
