Sprawling Upper East Side co-op with Central Park, Met Museum views seeks $24M

The opulent home spans 5,000 square feet and boasts lots of classic finishes

An opulent apartment within Emery Roth's distinguished 993 Fifth Avenue building has hit the market for a cool $24 million. Though pricey, the co-op is huge, spanning 5,000 square feet with five bedrooms, 6.5 bathrooms, and a combination of classic and contemporary design.

The apartment isn't super over-the-top but is lavish within its own right, boasting a massive living room overlooking the Metropolitan Museum of Art, and bedecked with high ceilings, crown molding, and a wood-burning fireplace. The formal dining room features a circular shape with walls that sport arched built-ins while the kitchen has been given a modern update and is equipped with stainless steel appliances a center island and a sizable breakfast room.

Within the massive apartment, there is also a library, a laundry room, at least three walk-in closets, and even more smaller closets throughout the space.

All in all the space is not bad (though whether is commands $24 million remains to be seen) but the standout feature has to be the stunning views of Central Park and the Met.
