The duplex apartment is in a leafy, landmarked area of the neighborhood

The historic Crown Heights mansion at 875 Saint Marks Avenue sold for $1.4 million in early 2013, only to appear the following year as six renovated one- and two-bedroom condos priced from $449,000. The most expensive of those condos was a flex two-bedroom duplex with two bathrooms, on the market for $659,000. BK to the Fullest was right to warn its readers after the building sold to "[u]nderestimate this neighb' at your own peril": The condo ended up selling for $22,000 over ask.

Now, that apartment has returned to the market, but as a rental with a pleasantly modest asking price of $2,995/month, just slightly over the borough's current median of $2,785/month. For that, renters will have lay to the apartment's 1,327 square feet, including herringbone wood floors and a modern kitchen with funky blue cabinetry, white Ceasarstone countertops, and a dishwasher.

The building is across the street from Brower Park and is on the edge of the Crown Heights North Historic District.
