LeFrak’s hotel-to-rental conversion, Murray Hill Marquis, reveals itself

The former Affinia Dumont hotel is going residential

After launching Ellipse, a very shiny 41-story residential cylinder in Jersey City, LeFrak is back in Manhattan with its latest project: a hotel-to-rental conversion project in Murray Hill, whose teaser website launches today.

Called the Murray Hill Marquis, the rentals take the place of a former Affinia Dumont hotel; it will be converted into 260 renovated studio and one-bedroom apartments across 37 stories, with big windows, open floor plans, and, in some cases, stellar city views.

The individual units boast the usual slate of sleek and modern amenities—stainless steel kitchen appliances and dishwashers, quartz countertops, hardwood floors—and the building, too, comes with plenty of communal perks. There will be a fully-equipped gym with a yoga studio, a co-working space, an "expansive" residents lounge, and a 24-hour attended lobby.

Leasing is expected to launch late next month, with studios renting from $2,575/month and one-bedrooms starting at $3,425/month.
