One WTC, Empire State Building will be lit up to celebrate NYC Pride

Streets along the NYC Pride parade route and surrounding the Stonewall National Monument will also be decorated this weekend

A few of New York City's most important structures will be lit up this weekend in honor of Pride.

Governor Cuomo's office has announced that One World Trade Center's spire and the new Kosciuszko Bridge will be lit up tonight in the colors of the transgender flag to honor the Trans Day of Action. On Saturday and Sunday, the spire of One World Trade Center will be lit in the colors of the pride flag, and on Sunday night the new Kosciuszko Bridge will host a multi-color LED lightshow to celebrate the LGBTQ community.

On Sunday, the crown of the Empire State Building will be lit in honor of Heritage of Pride and Pride Week, according to the building's website.

Mayor de Blasio has also announced that City Hall will shine bright for Pride Month this weekend. In addition to pride-colored lights and flags adorning City Hall, crosswalks on Christopher Street near the Stonewall National Monument will be painted in rainbow colors. Rainbow decals will also be laid along the Pride March route down Fifth Avenue between 36th and 24th streets.

"Pride Month reminds us that the fight for LGBT rights is not yet won, but that we can be proud as a city to have blazed the trail," said Mayor de Blasio in a statement. "Now more than ever, we need to come together and celebrate the contributions that the LGBTQ community has made to both our city and country. These displays serve as a profound symbol of a painful past, a hopeful future and the transformative change that happens when New Yorkers take action."
