Designed by Andres Escobar, the interiors promise "quintessential downtown style"
We've already gotten a peek at Charlie West, the ODA New York-designed condo rising above the Amtrak tracks on Manhattan's west side. Now, the company is offering a glimpse at the building's "quintessential downtown" interiors (this, despite its Hell's Kitchen location).
Designed by the ever-prolific Andres Escobar—who is also responsible for the interiors at The Vantage (née The Montrose) in Murray Hill, The Nevins in Boerum Hill, and the mini-megaproject Lighthouse Point on Staten Island, among many (many) others—Charlie West will capture the vibe of Hell's Kitchen by "fusing raw, natural materials with exciting textures and bespoke finishes."
The units themselves, which range from studios to three bedrooms, have open-plan living rooms with wide-plank oak floors, floor-to-ceiling windows with stellar city views, and "chic" kitchens featuring lacquered cabinets, white quartz backsplashes and counters, and "premium appliances" (obviously).

The common spaces, meanwhile, draw inspiration from boutique hotels to offer "a luxurious and relaxing retreat"; and indeed, they do have a bit of a boutique hotel vibe. In addition to the building's industrial chic lobby (which doubles as a library), there's a resident lounge (with a fireplace), and a fancy-looking swimming pool with a calming sort of vibe.
The 123-unit building is set to officially launch sales sometime this summer.
