Sherry-Netherland's priciest apartment is back, still wants $78M

And so the search for the next owner of this Upper East Side penthouse continues

It's been a year since the Sherry-Netherland's 18th floor penthouse received a significant price chop from its staggering $86 million ask down to an only slightly less jaw-dropping $78 million but alas, there still weren't any takers. Nevertheless, after taking a market hiatus, the pricey pad has returned to make another attempt at luring a wealthy buyer willing to pay the $78 million price tag.

So what about this seven-bedroom, eight-bedroom behemoth of an Upper East Side penthouse has changed? Not much but the listing photos, apparently (and not for the better either). The listing description doesn't make mention of any new changes but does boasts the three elevators, en-suite bedrooms, the impressive solarium, and the three "magical" terraces that overlook Manhattan, notably Fifth Avenue and Central Park.

It's possible that the palatial apartment may manage to sell this time around and though it's come a long way from it's original $95 million asking price, we suspect it'll take at least one more price cut for that to happen.
