A "reimagining of urban living"
Billed as both a "wildly romantic creation" and a "reimagining of urban living," this $16 million Soho co-op lives up to every word of the rather … heightened brokerbabble.
Upon exiting the elevator, visitors to the three-bedroom, four-bath rooftop paradise are greeted by a steel and glass conservatory that's "suffused with light," which, in addition to an excess of artfully wild greenery—the current owner has apparently "made a wintergarden of the room"—features 18-foot ceilings and a wall of westward-facing windows.

The living room, meanwhile—with its "intensely dramatic wall made of charred-wood panels"—optionally opens into the adjacent dining room, which is sprawling enough for a modest dinner party of 24. Rounding out the first enchanted floor is the kitchen, which, while not pictured, is "carefully crafted," with "French encaustic floor tiles," a 1930's Monell sink, recycled hemlock cabinets, "hand-selected" subway tiles, plus the usual slate of contemporary appliances. There's reflecting pool and patio is located beyond that.
The upper floors offer a whole new roster of delights, from the shapely steel stairway "with light-reflecting glass disks embedded in each tread" to the "glorious" master suite (with copper tub!), to the glass-enclosed stargazing lounge on the top floor and plethora of "lushly and wildly" planted terraces.
Maintenance for the "eclectic, evocative, and harmonious" digs are an evocative $2,300/month.
