When the one-bedroom co-op at 345 East 86th Street last sold in 2011, one thing was clear: It needed a little finessing to bring it into the 21st century. The co-op's new owner, it appears, was up for the challenge. The 760-square-foot pad just hit the market again, sporting an updated and airy look that the brokerbabble describes as a "blend of modern convenience and classic urban charm."

Built-in seating provides a small place to relax at the far end of the apartment, or could be used as banquette seating for a dining area. The listing notes that the area can also become a small second bedroom. The apartment's single bedroom is a decently spacious 17-feet by 12-feet with south-facing windows.
