One of Nolita’s Puck Penthouses returns as $70K/month rental

The slow-to-sell units are having more success as rentals

In the three years since the Puck Penthouses officially hit the market, only three of those posh apartments have sold, while others have left the market to try their luck as rentals.

Just this week, another of those units hit the rental market: Penthouse II, which was one of the first apartments that hit the market back in 2014. The last time it was on the market, it was going for $35.1 million; as a rental, it's asking $70,000/month. (Yes, it's a high price, but it does come fully furnished.)

This particular unit has some of the same architectural details as the other Puck Penthouses, including brick-covered barrel-vaulted ceilings, cast iron columns, and arched windows; it also has a huge terrace that overlooks Houston Street, high-end finishes (marble counters, terrazzo finishes, you get the idea), and a smart home system.

As for the nitty-gritty stuff, the apartment has three bedrooms and 5.5 bathrooms (the master suite, of course, has its own his-and-hers bathrooms with separate dressing rooms); it covers 5,222 square feet, and is very, very posh.
