A slender, luxury rental tower, less than a block away from Bryant Park, has topped out. The developer, Skyline Developers, celebrated the official topping out of ML House, as this building is known, this week. When complete, this 24-story structure will bring 62 new apartments to Midtown.

The project was announced last summer after the developer secured a $26 million investment to allow construction to commence on the project. Gene Kaufman is designing this rental building, which will feature a mix of studios, one, two, and three-bedrooms.

The apartments at 1050 Avenue of the Americas (ML are roman numerals for 1050 hence ML House) will feature large windows, and some of them will have private outdoor space. The penthouse unit will have a private rooftop terrace. Amenities announced so far include a fitness center, a residents lounge, and a second floor terrace.

"The topping out of our first ground-up luxury rental, ML House, marks an important milestone for us and advances the transformation of Bryant Park into a residential neighborhood," Orin Wilf, the president of Skyline Developers, said in a statement. "With all of the new restaurants and retail moving in, we are excited to not only witness the evolution but to be a part of it!"

Leasing is expected to get underway next summer, so the project should be complete shortly after that. Citi Habitats New Developments will be handling marketing and leasing for the project. When complete, this will join David Chipperfield's The Bryant, as the newest buildings to rise around Bryant Park.
