It's gut renovated, and comes with a loft bed
Welcome back to The Six-Digit Club, in which we take a look at a newish-to-market listing priced under $1 million, because nice things sometimes come in small packages. Send nominations to the tipline.
This Chelsea studio—described as a "stunning, grand, gut renovated studio loft"—is on the market for $748,000, and we have some questions:
What's with the Murphy bed and the loft bed? Did two people—who weren't a couple—live here, or is one meant to be a guest bed situation? (And if it's the latter, we really hope it was the Murphy bed, because we're pretty sure hosting etiquette would advise against making your guests climb a ladder to go to sleep.)
Speaking of that loft bed: What size mattress is meant to go up there—full or queen? And how many times do you think you'd smack your head on the ceiling trying to get in and out of bed?
Here's another one: Is it safe to have the kitchen positioned directly below the loft bed? And how often does that bed end up smelling like whatever was for dinner the night before?
Also: Is that … a swing???
If you're as curious about this as we are, take note: there's an open house on November 19, so you can check all of this out in person.
