The eight-story building at the corner of Clarkson and Nostrand Avenues has 170 apartments
A rare, ground-up luxury rental in Prospect-Lefferts Gardens is gearing up to launch leasing on its 170 apartments next month. The eight-story building at 310 Clarkson Avenue had a soft launch over the weekend, and the New York Times was the first to report on the latest at The Clark, as this rental is officially known.
The developer, Hudson Companies, is offering a month's rent free on a 13-month lease, and as a result rents here start at $1,708/month for a studio, based on the listings that are currently available on the building's website. More apartments will come online with the official launch next month. Rents here seem to be on par with the other offerings in the neighborhood.
Apartments at The Clark come in studio through three-bedroom variants. They have hardwood floors; stainless steel appliances in the kitchen including a dishwasher, a garbage disposal, and Caesarstone countertops; a Bosch washer & dryer; large windows; and some apartments have private outdoor space.
Amenities at the rental include a landscaped rooftop terrace with barbecuing facilities and private garden plots that can be purchased from the building management; a dog run; a residents lounge; a gym; and covered parking, among other features.
The development site comprises of a former parking lot and a group of industrial buildings that were demolished to make way for the rental. The eight-story rental at 310 Clarkson Avenue is only the first part in a two-phase development. The second phase will see the construction of another eight-story building with 250 apartments, that is set to open in 2020.
