Get a look inside the high-end condos at the XI
As the pair of twisting High Line buildings, designed by the Bjarke Ingels Group, works toward its 2019 completion, near details continue to emerge. In April, the HFZ Capital Group-developed buildings revealed new renderings that gave an idea of what the interiors of the hotel and condo development would look like and in May, the electrifying sales gallery made its debut. This time around, the XI, as the project has been named, is showing off details for its residential units. Let's take a look.
For the East Tower, HFZ Capital tapped design team Gilles & Boissier to turn the building's 87 residences into luxury homes with high-end finishes. The results are condos that feature oak chevron floors, kitchens with custom Italian cabinetry and Calacatta Gold marble countertops; and marble-clad master bathrooms.
Since the East Tower is will also be home to a Six Senses Hotel, there is a porte-cochère with "Saint Laurent marble chevron floors" and a concierge desk that is bedecked with marble and smoked wood.
The West Tower's 146 residences were designed by Gabellini Sheppard Associates and drew inspiration from "the lost glamour of Old Hollywood with a sense of ease but a sensory richness." The apartments features seven-inch-wide plank floors, custom wood doors, and fancy bathrooms with freestanding tubs. The lobby of the building boasts double-height 23-foot ceilings, a fireplace, and a sculptural desk crafted from basalt, bronze, and limestone. Both buildings offer floor-to-ceiling windows with views of the skyline.
Apartments at the XI will range from one- through four-bedrooms. One-bedrooms will ask from $2.8 million, two-bedrooms will go from $3.9 million, three-bedrooms from $6.5 million, and four-bedrooms from $9 million. There will also be half-floor penthouses starting at $25 million.
