Hudson Yards’s 1,009-foot residential tower tops out

35 Hudson Yards will also be home to an Equinox Hotel, offices, and retail

The second residential building that will see completion within Related Companies and Oxford Properties Group's Hudson Yards megaproject, 35 Hudson Yards, has now topped out at 1,009 feet.

YIMBY first reported on the milestone, and a spokesperson for Related Companies confirmed the news to Curbed. 35 Hudson Yards is the second tallest building within the megaproject; it's neighbor, 30 Hudson Yards will rise to almost 1,300 feet, and is scheduled to top out soon as well.

Unlike Hudson Yards's first residential building, 15 Hudson Yards, the topped out 35 Hudson Yards packs in quite a lot of mixed-use elements aside from its apartments. The first few floors will have retail; floors eight through 13 will have offices; an Equinox hotel with 217 rooms and tons of swanky amenities will take up space on floors 15 through 29; and the condos—137 of them—will be located on floors 31 through the 72, the top floor.

The project was designed by David Childs of SOM, and is scheduled to wrap construction sometime next year.
