Cozy East Village co-op with old world flourishes asks $545K

The one-bedroom, one-bathroom apartment is part of a six-story building near Union Square

Welcome back to The Six Digit Club, in which we take a look at a newish-to-market listing priced under $1 million, because nice things sometimes come in small packages. Send nominations to the tipline.

This cozy, one-bedroom co-op close to Union Square is on the market for $545,000. Part of a six-story building on East 13th Street, Apartment 14 recently underwent a renovation, thanks to which it has many modern fixtures, while still maintaining an old-world charm.

The apartment opens up in the kitchen, which features a Subzero refrigerator, a Miele dishwasher, marble countertops, and a good amount of cabinetry. The windowed-bathroom is adjacent to the kitchen and comes with a claw-foot tub and handmade Barber Wilson & Co. fixtures.

The living room is beyond the kitchen, and seems spacious in large part due to the 10-foot-tall ceilings in the apartment. Also in the living room are a series of built-in bookshelves that act as a lovely segue into the bedroom.

The street-facing bedroom is pretty spacious and comes with two windows, and has access to four closets, including one walk-in closet. Residents in the building also have access to a live-in super.
