Hidden, rustic Greenwich Village carriage house asks $21K/month

The carriage house measures 1,800 square feet and comes with two bedrooms and two bathrooms

Hidden behind a 19th century Federal style-house in Greenwich Village, this charming carriage house is renting for $21,500/month. The carriage house served as a theater in the early part of the 20th century, but is now a rental unit along with the rentals in the five-story Federal townhouse.

This particular carriage house was rented by Kate Moss in the late 1990s, and the overall rental development has attracted several celebrities and artists over the years, according to one of the brokers on the development.

As for the carriage house, it measures 1,800 square feet and comes with two bedrooms and two bathrooms spread out over three levels. One of the standout spaces in the home is the living room, which comes with a massive skylight, 17-foot-tall beamed ceiling, an exposed brick wall, and a wood-burning fireplace.

The carriage house was recently renovated and fitted with a Boffi kitchen with Gaggenau appliances; radiant heated flooring; and a steam shower and a soaking tub in the lower level bathroom.
