Neo-Gothic Upper West Side townhouse with garden, roof deck returns for $7.4M

The 19th-century abode has gotten a $900,000 price chop

The neo-Gothic Upper West Side townhouse designed by architect Charles H. Israels and dating back to 1894 has returned to the market with nearly a $1 million price chop.

The 4,400-square-foot home first appeared on the market last June with an $8.3 million asking price. This time around, the home is hoping to lure a buyer with its $7.395 million price tag.

Aside from the price, nothing has changed but in case you need a refresher, the five-story abode offers four bedrooms, four bathrooms, a huge chef's kitchen, a living room, a den, an office, a media room, and a gym in the finished English basement. Its finishes include herringbone wood floors, stained glass, three working fireplaces, a washer and dryer; and tons of storage space throughout.

There is 1,200 square feet of storage space broken down as two terraces, a roof deck, and a charming backyard garden. Additionally, there are patios located on the basement and garden levels.

The listing was formerly held by Leslie J. Garfield but is now represented by Douglas Elliman.
