A two-bedroom on the Lower East Side, that's been gut renovated, is going for an even $3,500/month. Both rooms are big enough to accommodate queen-sized beds and flourishes include beamed ceilings, wood floors, a huge skylight, and a contemporary windowed kitchen.

In Bushwick, $3,500 can get you this revamped duplex, offering three bedrooms and 1.5 bathrooms. The eat-in kitchen is equipped with sleek cabinets and stainless steel appliances; there's an in-unit washer/dryer, lots of sunlight, and access to a shared backyard.

Head to Financial District, where a 688-square-foot studio is renting for $3,500/month. The space features 11-foot-high beamed ceilings, wood flooring, an open kitchen, a washer and dryer; and a walk-in closet. The apartment's views overlook the building's roof deck.

For $3,450, there is a duplex in Crown Heights with four bedrooms, 1.5 bathrooms, exposed brick, wood-framed windows, and a washer/dryer on the lower level. The kitchen has been updated with stainless steel appliances and there is access to the backyard.

And last but not least, there is this light-filled abode in Midtown for $3,495/month. You get a spacious living room, a dining alcove, high ceilings with beamed ceilings, original wood floors, and a king-sized bedroom. The building is located at Seventh Avenue and West 56th Street, which puts it three blocks away from Central Park.
