Battery Park City

A studio in Battery Park City is asking an even $2,750/month, with no broker's fee. For a studio, the apartment is pretty nice: It has new appliances, three closets, and—at nearly 500 square feet—a good amount of space to work with.

Rego Park

A renovated two-bedroom in a redeveloped Rego Park rental is going for $2,769/month. The apartment is bright and airy, and has a brand new kitchen and bathrooms, along with its own small balcony. It's a short walk from the building to the subway at 63rd Drive-Rego Park.

Crown Heights

In Crown Heights, a relatively spacious one-bedroom (it's 600 square feet) is renting for $2,750/month. It's located on the top floor of a townhouse on Park Place, and has lots of new touches. The kitchen was recently updated, there's a washer/dryer, and the bathroom is new, too. It's close to the Brooklyn Museum and Prospect Park.

Clinton Hill

Looking for a rental with outdoor space? This garden apartment in Clinton Hill—which comes with access to a positively enormous, landscaped backyard—may fit the bill. (It is a shared garden, however.) The one-bedroom unit has a new kitchen, but also has plenty of vintage decorative elements, including a fireplace and moldings.

Upper West Side

Finally, a cozy Upper West Side one-bedroom in a brownstone building is going for $2,750/month. The location is prime Upper West Side: It's on 76th Street between Columbus Avenue and Central Park West, a stone's throw from the park, plenty of museums, lots of shops, and more.
