On the Chelsea-Midtown border—or, depending on how you look at it, the hellish area adjacent to Penn Station—a large three-bedroom condo is going for $1,995 million. The living room has loft-like proportions (the living room is 36 feet long) and the three bedrooms are located on either side of the common area. One drawback: There's only one bathroom.

Bed-Stuy

In the Stuyvesant Heights section of Bed-Stuy, a two-family townhouse that was recently renovated is asking just under $2 million. (The listing says it could be income-generating or converted to a single-family home.) Both units have plenty of lovely historic details—original fireplaces and mantels among them—and there's also outdoor space. It's a quick walk from there to the Halsey Street stop on the J.

Upper East Side

A three-bedroom co-op in a building on Museum Mile is asking $1.995 million. (The listing calls that third bedroom a staff room—this is blue chip Upper East Side after all.) There's plenty of space, with a large living room, formal dining room, and tons of closets. The kitchen could use an upgrade, but there's a new stove. And it's right across from the Metropolitan Museum of Art.

Downtown Brooklyn

A large three-bedroom duplex in a Downtown Brooklyn condo building is asking $1.995 million. There are some neat touches here—a spiral staircase with sculptural decorations, for example—and enormous windows flood the space with light. There are three bathrooms (one for every bedroom), and a washer/dryer. It's a short walk from the building to plenty of transit options, along with shops and other things to do.

West Village

And finally, in the West Village, a two-bedroom, two-bathroom pad with a large private patio is going for $1.995 million. There's a lot to like here, including built-in bookshelves, a renovated kitchen, and a sleek fireplace. The apartment is located in a complex that sits behind a 19th-century Greek Revival church, adding to its charm.
