What $875,000 buys in NYC right now

Five apartments, five NYC neighborhoods

Welcome to Curbed Comparisons, where we explore what you can rent or buy for a certain dollar amount in various NYC neighborhoods. Today, we've found five apartments within $20,000 of today's price: $875,000.

Douglas Elliman
East Village

In the East Village, a large two-bedroom co-op is going for $875,000. The apartment's common space is much larger than the bedrooms; the living room and dining room take up most of the space, and there's a windowed kitchen with new appliances (including a washer/dryer). It's located on East 12th Street between First and Second avenues.

Halstead
Crown Heights

A nearly 1,000-square-foot two-bedroom in Crown Heights is going for $875,000. There are two bathrooms, huge windows, and a brand new kitchen and bathrooms. It's located on Bergen Street between Franklin and Classon avenues, close to the A and C trains, as well as the Franklin Avenue shuttle.

Upper East Side

A one-bedroom co-op with one bathroom on the Upper East Side is asking $889,000. Both the living room and the bedroom are quite sizable, and it also comes with a balcony that has south and west views. (The kitchen, while not huge, has new appliances.) It's located on West 76th Street between First and Second avenues.

Elmhurst

Head to Elmhurst and you'll find a four-bedroom co-op with two bathrooms going for $875,000. The master bedroom has its own en-suite bathroom, and the apartment itself has gotten several modern upgrades. The apartment is located in a co-op building from the 1920s, and is a short walk from the M and R trains at Elmhurst Avenue.

Finally, in Fort Greene, a two-bedroom condo with a small balcony is asking $875,000. The kitchen opens up into the living room, with the bedroom—which has a large walk-in closet— adjacent to that. It's four blocks from Fort Greene Park, and a quick walk from the apartment to the G train at Clinton-Washington Avenues.
