American Copper Buildings unveil a handful of rentals priced from $2,975

The developers quietly released the listings on StreetEasy last week

One of New York City's most highly anticipated rental projects, the American Copper Buildings, has commenced a soft launch on its units, with just a handful of apartments now available on StreetEasy.

The developer, JDS, was previously holding off on revealing the exact launch date, but has mentioned for a while now that it would be sometime in February. Of the five apartments listed on StreetEasy, two are studios, another two are one-bedrooms, and the fifth one is a two-bedroom, two-bathroom unit.

Rents on these units range from $2,975/month for a studio on the 11th floor and go up to $6,650/month for the above-mentioned two-bedroom unit.

The 48 and 41-story buildings that make up this East River-facing rental project have a whopping 761 apartments. Aside from its very distinct copper-clad exterior, a standout feature at this rental project is the skybridge connecting the two towers.

Suspended 300-feet above ground and spanning three stories, the skybridge is also home to the rental's plethora of amenities, which include a 75-foot lap pool, a lounge and bar, a hammam, and a kids playroom.

All the apartments currently available are in the building's west tower—the shorter of the two buildings, and are move-in ready. The first set of residents are expected to move in early next month, and a proper leasing launch is expected later in the spring.

For now, checkout the floor plans of all the listed rentals (one of the studios does not have a listed floor plan):
