After a brief hiatus, the apartment is back on the market
It's been more than six years since Equinox CEO Harvey Spevak first listed his impressive condo within Midtown's Park Imperial tower, but the apartment just can't seem to attract a buyer. After spending some time off the market, the home has been relisted for a couple million dollars less than its most recent asking price.
When the four-bedroom, 3.5 bathroom home first appeared in 2011, it came with a steep $11.995 million price tag. Despite receiving a classy "reinterpretation" by Jeffrey Bilhuber, there weren't any takers. In February of this year, the apartment returned for $9.5 million, and still had no luck.
This time around, the 2,954-square-foot duplex is listed for an ever-so-slightly more modest $7.5 million. The designer space is actually a combination of two units that Spevak and his wife, Rhonda, purchased in 2005 and 2008 for $2.5 million and $2.95 million, respectively, before merging the units into one.
As for the space itself, it has floor-to-ceiling windows that offer views the city's skyline, dramatic columns, lacquered and hand painted walls, a chef's kitchen with high-end appliances, marble bathrooms, and a plethora of storage space throughout.
