Brooklyn Heights's latest pricey rental, 153 Remsen Street, welcomes residents

It doesn't get any better than those rooftop views

It's been over two years since any worthy news has surfaced regarding the 19-story building that has replaced an eyesore at 153 Remsen Street in Brooklyn Heights. Over time, the Quinlan Development Group and Lonicera Partners project has quietly wrapped up construction and is now in the process of welcoming its first crop of residents.

Back in 2015, when the S9 Architecture-designed building was revealed, it was speculated that the 60 apartments would likely be offered as condos but they are in fact rentals. Ranging from one- to three-bedrooms, the pricey residences begin renting at a whopping $3,845 for a 739-square-foot apartment with one bedroom, to as much as $8,308/month for a 1,397-square-foot abode with three bedrooms and two bathrooms. Leasing launched back in May, however, tenants are just beginning to move in.

The apartments themselves don't exactly scream "luxury" but they do offer spacious floorplans and sleek finishes that include natural wood floors, oversized windows, "top-of-the-line" kitchen appliances (though specific brands go unnamed), and private outdoor spaces for a select few of the apartments.

153 Remsen offers residents your standard fare of building amenities but with a twist. The fitness room includes access to personal trainers from FitLink, the children's playroom has been curated by hip neighborhood child daycare center Carmelo the Science Fellow, and the expansive rooftop terrace features barbecues along with sweeping views of lower Manhattan.
