Jake Gyllenhaal is 443 Greenwich Street’s latest celeb resident

The actor paid slightly over asking price to join fellow celeb residents like Meg Ryan and Justin Timberlake

Tribeca's 443 Greenwich Street has been billed from the get-go as a "paparazzi proof" haven for celebrities and press-shy folks, and it seems like that marketing tactic has really paid off: Another major celeb has signed on to own in the building. The Real Deal reports that expert subway rider Jake Gyllenhaal is the latest known name to buy here.

Gyllenhaal joins Meg Ryan, Justin Timberlake and Jessica Biel, and maybe even One Direction defector Harry Styles, among other celebrities, at the 1880s book bindery-turned-luxury condo. Like the building's myriad other celebs, Gyllenhaal purchased his 2,600-square-foot condo with an anonymous LLC—but the sleuths at TRD were able to link it to Gyllenhaal because the actor previously used the Woodrow Trust shield to purchase his Woodrow Wilson Drive home in the Hollywood Hills.

Gyllenhaal's new New York City digs comes with an open floorplan, three bedrooms, and three and a half baths. The actor paid $8,631,046.13 for the apartment, which was first listed for $8.55 million. A floorplan for his new apartment is below.
