Meg Ryan is 443 Greenwich Street's latest celebrity resident

The movie star paid nearly $9.4 million for a three-bedroom condo

Tribeca's 443 Greenwich Street has established itself as Manhattan's newest celebrity magnet, with A-listers like Justin Timberlake and Jessica Biel, Jennifer Lawrence (maybe), and One Direction's Harry Styles (also a maybe) picking up apartments in the building. And now, there's another big name to add to that list: Meg Ryan, whose purchase of a 3,155-square-foot pad in the building just closed, according to city records. The final sale price was $9,387,889.88, to be exact, and she purchased it under the LLC Third World Dog Trust.

Ryan has been a downtown denizen for some time now: She moved into Hank Azaria's old apartment at 84 Mercer Street in 2014, and spent some time giving the place a gorgeous renovation, which was recently cataloged in Architectural Digest. But Ryan already had one foot out the door by the time that profile happened; she listed the apartment in February with Corcoran for $11 million, and by May, it was already in contract.

Whether or not Ryan brings the same eye for renovations to her 443 Greenwich pad remains to be seen, but she'll have a good canvas to work with; the apartment has three bedrooms, three bathrooms, a gigantic great room, and more. There's no outdoor space, alas—it's not one of the building's pricey penthouses, after all—but the amenities, including a swimming pool and a rooftop terrace, might just make up for that.
