The private garden is bigger than some New York City studios
A Park Slope duplex that was designed by renowned architect Enrique Norten—the man behind buildings like 300 Ashland Place in the Brooklyn Cultural District and Mercedes House in Hell's Kitchen—is has hit the market for $1.65 million. It's not every day that an apartment with such architectural clout becomes available in Brooklyn, so despite its seven-figure asking price, it's definitely worth a closer look.
Let's start with the open living room, which comes with 20-foot ceilings, floor-to-ceiling windows, light wood floors, and glass doors that lead out to the lush 500-square-foot landscaped garden. (Yes, the garden is bigger than some New Yorkers' apartments.)
The adjacent kitchen is big enough to be an eat-in space, along with a built-in stainless steel refrigerator, a center island, white marble counters, and a built-in washer/dryer.
There are two light-filled bedrooms, both with walk-in closets, as well as two bathrooms that have been finished with custom ceramic tiling. Unfortunately, there isn't a floorplan to help sort through the layout, but apparently there is also a terrace on hand.
The more high-end tech features include a central air conditioning/heating and a video intercom system.
Building amenities include private parking, additional storage space, bike storage, and access to the private 3,500-square-foot landscaped garden that offers a "peaceful oasis of calm," as the broker lingo puts it.
