It's located at 445 Gold Street, inside City Point's main retail space
We've know about it for two years now, and on Friday that day will finally come when Trader Joe's debuts its second Brooklyn location at City Point. DNAinfo first broke the news of the opening, which will take place at 9 a.m. on Friday.
The opening is sure to be a welcome sign of relief for frequenters of the borough's only outpost on Court Street, which is know for its long lines, as DNAinfo points out, especially on the weekends.
This new store is located in City Point's main retail space, on the lower level. Already, the movie-dining chain Alama Drafthouse has set up shop there, along with Target, and a Century 21. Trader Joe's is also located adjacent to the newly-opened Dekalb Market Hall, which features dozens of food vendors.
City Point's retail space was originally set to open last fall, but construction delays meant that all the brands had to delay their openings as well. This new Trader Joe's is now the latest addition to the grocery chain's rapidly expanding empire in New York City. The City Point addition makes it eight stores in NYC, and two more stores are to open in Soho, and on the Upper West Side, respectively, by the end of this year.
