The four-story townhouse on West 10th Street features three bedrooms and five bathrooms

A nearly 200-year-old townhouse on West 10th Street, in the West Village, is now on the market for $11.25 million. The four-story, red brick townhouse features three bedrooms and five bathrooms spread out over 3,000 square feet of space.

On the main level, the apartment opens up into a foyer that leads to the townhouse's spacious sitting room. Up a flight of stairs is an even larger living room, which features 12-foot-tall ceilings, and two original, marble fireplaces.

The kitchen is located on the lower level, and comes fitted with several swanky (and gargantuan!) stainless steel appliances and counters, custom lacquered cabinets, and a pretty spacious eat-in area. This floor provides access to a "French-bistro outdoor patio."

The master bedroom and a large, windowed walk-in closet take up most of the top floor. The bedroom has its own fireplace, and an ensuite bathroom that features a skylight.

Aside from that, some of the standout features of this townhouse include many of the light fixtures that try to pay a nod to the original design, the French milled flooring, and the lacquered wood doors.

The house was owned by interior designer Steven Gambrel for a while, and Courtney Love has rented this townhouse in the past as well. Its current owner has been trying to sell the townhouse since at least 2011. The price has fluctuated over the years, but it has remained off the market since 2013. Four years later, the townhouse is trying its luck again.
