Brooklyn Heights’s soon-to-be tallest condo unveils teaser site

The developer has roped in CetraRuddy for the conversion of this former dorm building

In May this year, news emerged that Silverback Development was planning to convert a former Jehovah's Witnesses building at 67 Livingston Street into a condo. Now the developers have unveiled a teaser site for the project, and announced that CetraRuddy will be designing the conversion of the slender tower.

The 29-story building will feature just 22 apartments, 21 of which will be full-floor units, and one of them will be a duplex penthouse. Apartments here will measure between 1,700 square feet to 3,400 square feet, and come in two-to-four-bedroom variants.

All the apartments here will have direct elevator access and outdoor space, and many of them will have views of the Manhattan and Brooklyn Bridges, and the East River, according to the developer.

While CetraRuddy will be working on the interiors of this former dorm building, Silverback has retained HTO Architects to renovate the building's facade and layouts. Sales are expected to get underway next spring, and Silverback has brought on Bold New York as the exclusive sales and marketing agent on the project.

Apartments here will cost between $2 million to $3 million, and construction is expected to wrap up sometime in the summer of 2018. When complete, the tower will briefly be the tallest condo building in Brooklyn, until it is overtaken by the 34-story condo building replacing Brooklyn Heights library.
