'This American Life' host Ira Glass lists turnkey Chelsea condo for $1.75M

Five years after purchasing a one-bedroom condo in a Chelsea's converted Carriage House development, This American Life host Ira Glass and his ex-wife, editor Anaheed Alani, are parting ways with the place. 6sqft reports that the former partners, who divorced earlier this year, have listed the apartment for $1.75 million.

That may seem like a lot for a one-bedroom, but consider that the place has been "newly gut renovated" and is "truly turn-key and ready for you to call home," according to the brokerbabble. (This could be because the home was, at one point, allegedly infested with all kinds of vermin, including bed bugs—to such a degree, in fact, that the condo board sued them over the damage.)

There are no traces of that grossness in the home anymore; now, it's in seemingly pristine condition, with new floors, appliances, bathrooms, and a dressing room all part of the package. The expansive corner living room has windows on two sides, which lets plenty of light in; the kitchen is open-concept, and outfitted with sleek cabinets and a muted chevron backsplash.

The polished redesign extends to the bedroom, with beamed ceilings and a swanky dressing room, and the master bath, which is covered in stone tiles.

All in all, it's a lovely place (if you can forget the whole previously-infested-with-bedbugs thing). Monthlies come in at just over $2,000, and there's an open house on Sunday should you want to peep it IRL.
