In Williamsburg, 39 affordable apartments from $1,999/month up for grabs

The apartments are a mix of one- and two-bedrooms

The 19-story building rising on land owned by Williamsburg's Saint Peter and Paul Church has launched the affordable lottery for 39 one- and two-bedroom apartments. The lottery caters to applicants earning 130 percent of the area median income and is accepting applications untilJuly 17.

There are 17 one-bedrooms up for grabs that each rent for $1,999/month and are open to single or double occupancy households earning between $68,538 and $108,550. As for the two-bedrooms, there are 22 of those that go for $2,399/month and household sizes between two and four people can apply if their annual income ranges from $82,252 and $135,590 (depending on household size).

In 2016, the church entered into a $2.1 million per year deal with developer Watermark Capital Group, to lease a portion of their site that has now given way to the residential building at 321 Wythe Avenue.

For an extra charge, tenants of the affordable units can enjoy access to the building's amenities, which include a fitness center, community room, party room, outdoor recreational space, a theater, and a sauna.
