Stately Brooklyn Heights home on ‘Colonnade Row’ seeks $4.5M

The four-bedroom home on Willow Place dates back to the 1840s

On a quiet stretch of Willow Place in Brooklyn Heights, hidden from the more tourist-heavy crowds near the Brooklyn Heights Promenade, sits a row of well-preserved Greek Revival homes that date back to before the Civil War. Though the neighborhood is chock full of historic homes, these buildings—Nos. 43 through 49 Willow Place—stand out, thanks to a colonnade that connects them, giving the whole block a rather stately air.

Now, one of these homes—No. 45—is on the market, asking $4.495 million. And even though the exterior looks much the same as it did in the 19th century, the home's interior has gotten plenty of modern upgrades.

The house has four bedrooms—one of which is a full-floor master suite with a sitting room, gas fireplace, and Jacuzzi tub—and three bathrooms spread out over three floors; there's also a den on the cellar level, which connects to a bi-level outdoor space.

Most of the first floor is given over to an open living and dining room (with large French doors adjacent to the entryway), the master suite is on the second floor, and the third floor is devoted to two extra bedrooms and a den. There aren't many historic details remaining, if any, inside—but it's a special home all the same.

Corcoran's Leslie Marshall and James Cornell have the listing.
