Did you guess the correct asking price?
There were many guesses for this week's Pricespotter column, but only one that nearly hit the mark: denish was closest without going over, with a guess of $939,000. The actual asking price of this West Village apartmen? $940,000.
The apartment is located at 204 West 10th Street between Bleecker and West 4th streets, a location that likely factors in to that high asking price. The listing boasts that it's a "mint condition, turn-key" pad, and indeed, the renovation it recently underwent is nice—and the place can be purchased with or without furnishings.
It has one bedroom (which some commenters noted appears to be a tight squeeze with a queen-sized bed), one bathroom, southern exposures, and a small, open kitchen with new appliances—including a wine fridge, a point of contention among commenters. (Though nerdb4itwascool noted that particular perk can be a boon for the seller: "Less than $500 could net you thousands extra in the asking price.")
So there you have it: A small, but livable, West Village one-bedroom for $940,000. Maintenance and common charges are $665/month. It's listed with Douglas Elliman's Fredrik Eklund, John Gomes, and Jordan Shea.
Let's look at the floorplan one more time:
