The Refinery Hotel's "Lannister's Lair" includes fur throws and 'Game of Thrones'-inspired dishes
The final season of Game of Thrones premieres in just a few days, and if you haven't already gotten your fill of merch tied to the series yet—special-edition Oreos and beer, sneakers, and even a special Shake Shack menu—and want to level up, one Midtown hotel has just the thing.
The Refinery Hotel on West 38th Street has introduced a special GoT suite, which it calls "Lannister's Lair"—as in the wealthy family that always pays its debts—that's available from on Sundays from April 14 through the airing of the final episode in May.
The package, which starts at $569/night (that's a lot of gold dragon coins), includes a queen-sized hotel room that's kitted out with all sorts of Thrones-themed items, such as "fur throws, to drape over your royal throne and more dragon eggs than Daenerys Targaryen" (editor's note: these are candles) and goblets that can be filled with the hotel's "signature wine."
The package also comes with GoT-themed meals, including "Feast of Winterfell" (meat-heavy, as you'd expect from the family from the northern end of the Seven Kingdoms) and "Dragon Snack" (a big steak). But most importantly, there's access to HBO, so you can catch up on all of the drama, political intrigue, and gory details of the series' first seven seasons.
